  1. 1. NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION (NTSE)

The National Talent Search Examination is conducted for students studying in the Class X. The examination consists of tests, namely Mental Ability Test (MAT), Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and Language Comprehensive Test (LCT). The items in the MAT, LCT and SAT are multiple choice questions. Each question has four alternatives. The candidate has to select one correct answer from the alternatives.

Scholarship:

  1. A) Scholarship of 1250/- Per Month for class XI and XII.
  2. B) Scholarship of 2000/- Per Month for Under Graduates and Post Graduates.
  3. C) Amount of Scholarship for PhD in accordance with UGC norms.

  1. 2. NATIONAL MATHEMATICS TALENT CONTEST (NMTC)

The AMTI is a pioneer organization in promoting and conducting Mathematics Talent Tests in India. In year 2014 (47th National level tests) approximately 630 institutions all over India participated at the screening level. This Exam aims to discover and encourage students who have the capacity for original and creative thinking, readiness to attack unfamiliar and non-routine problems exhibiting a general mathematical ability appropriate to their level.

  1. 3. ASSESSMENT OF SCHOLASTIC SKILL THROUGH EDUCATIONAL TESTING (ASSET)

ASSET Stands for Assessment of Scholastic Skills through Educational Testing. It is a scientifically designed, skill-based assessment test. Rather than testing school learning, through multiple-choice questioning, it focuses on measuring how well SKILLS and CONCEPTS underlying the school syllabus have been learnt by the student. The test provides information on the strengths and weaknesses of individual student.

Technothlon is an international school championship organized by the student fraternity of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. Technothlon began its journey in 2004 with an aim to ‘Inspire Young Minds’. Starting on its journey with a participation of 200 students confined to the city of Guwahati, over the past 11 years Technothlon has expanded its reach to over 200 cities all over the nation and various centers abroad. It seeks to provide school students a platform to build fundamental experience and knowledge, to exercise co-ordination skills, and to think out of the box. As its preliminary round is conducted through several centers in India, it is a competitive test of critical thinking. Its final stage is conducted in IIT Guwahati during Techniche.
